Evaluation period changes
The departmental SET coordinator is the point of contact for course information, the dates of your course's evaluation period, and adjustments to the evaluation period. However, please remember that the evaluation period should not extend into finals and grades have not been posted. The reason for this is to avoid bias in student feedback. Students may experience additional stress or pressure during the final exam period, affecting their perceptions of the course and the instructor. That can result in biased or untrustworthy feedback that does not accurately reflect the quality of the teaching.
New feature for faculty
- The SET Committee has granted faculty members the flexibility to modify their evaluation period. It will allow faculty to adjust their course evaluation period according to their preferences. See Faculty date adjustments guide for steps.
- If support is still required in making the date adjustments, please contact your departmental SET coordinator for assistance.
Faculty may also view the precise dates of their evaluation period through the online SET system response rate dashboard (enter your AccessID and password). See the online screen guide, and look under View settings for information regarding your course.
Please submit a SET technical support request for assistance if you have any questions.
